In this inaugural edition, we look at the conversations shaping our sector, Nevis' growing international engagement, and the opportunities ahead.
Nevis Finance Quarterly has been created to keep our stakeholders informed, connected and engaged as we work collectively to strengthen Nevis' international financial services sector.
The international environment continues to change. Clients and their advisers are looking for stable jurisdictions, responsive legislation, experienced professionals and practical structures that support wealth preservation, succession planning and international business.
Nevis is a well established financial services centre.
This publication will share meaningful updates on industry developments, international engagement, market opportunities and the work being undertaken across the sector. It will also create space for the voices and expertise of our local financial services community.
Thank you to our stakeholders and partners for your continued engagement. I look forward to working with you as we shape the next chapter of Nevis financial services.

Recent regulatory changes in Panama have created a timely opportunity to engage advisers and international businesses that may be reassessing their structuring, substance and jurisdictional requirements.
The regulatory development provides a specific reason to open discussions with Panamanian lawyers, accountants, corporate service providers and international clients. Nevis can position itself as a credible alternative for businesses considering continuation or redomiciliation.

Four Amendment Bills — the Nevis Business Corporations Ordinance (Amendment) Bill 2026, the Nevis Limited Liability Companies Ordinance (Amendment) Bill 2026, the Companies Ordinance (Amendment) Bill 2026, and the Nevis International Banking Ordinance (Amendment) Bill 2026 — received First Reading on 14 July 2026 and were circulated for industry review. Proposed changes address foreign-language filings, registered-agent transfers, non-profit regulation, penalties and enhanced international-banking regulatory powers. The Bills are expected to be passed into law in Q4 2026.
Greater use of technology across registration, administration and regulatory processes can improve responsiveness, accessibility and the overall client experience.
Nevis remains committed to internationally accepted standards and to practical cooperation among the Ministry of Finance, the FSRC, the Registry and industry practitioners.
With approval in principle from the Premier, work is advancing on the Nevis Financial Services Institute.
